WANT TO LEARN MORE?
On this tour we’ll visit every country which made up Yugoslavia and discover how they were shaped by a rich, yet turbulent history.
Meaning 'land of the south Slavs,' Yugoslavia existed between 1918 and 2003, made up of the six Socialist Republics of SR Bosnia & Herzegovina, SR Croatia, SR Macedonia, SR Montenegro, SR Slovenia and SR Serbia and two Socialist Autonomous Provinces (Vojvodina and Kosovo).
If you wish, you can learn more about the history and collapse of Yugoslavia, swim in the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea and travel through some of the most dramatic scenery in Europe.
And if every country in the former Yugoslavia wasn’t enough, we’ve thrown Albania into the mix too! Step back in time into ‘The Land of the Eagles,’ once one of the most closed off places in the world.

Ljubljana, Slovenia: Why not add a couple of post-tour nights in Slovenia’s charming capital? We can switch your transfer from Bled to central Ljubljana, book a hotel and offer sightseeing suggestions or tours.
Slovenian Coast: Piran / Koper – these towns are perfect for a little relaxation before heading home. We can organise a transfer, a guided tour of the area and accommodation in both.
Ask us for more details on the above, or anywhere else you have in mind!
We have chosen well-positioned, comfortable accommodation within a 10 – 15 minute walking distance of the main areas of interest. The majority are 3* hotels, some are 4*. Be aware that a 4* in some countries may not be of the same quality/standard as your own. Therefore, we class all accommodation as either 3* or 3*+. However, we have chosen what we consider to be the best option for location, cleanliness and facilities and not necessarily for décor or nice views i.e. a hotel by the sea will not necessarily mean you will have a sea view.
All hotels have air-conditioning/fans (with the exception of Hvar) and Wi-Fi. In almost all locations you will have a mini-bar (payable at check-out) or refrigerator, as well as a hairdryer and a TV with English channels. Some of the hotels do not have elevators but there will be someone on hand to help with your luggage.
All of our hotels are featured on www.tripadvisor.com – feel free to check them out!
Prices: on a twin share basis. If you are a single traveller and would be prepared to share a room with another guest of the same sex, the price will remain the same. If you would like your own space, we have single rooms available at an extra fee.
Hotel Restaurant/Meals: Please note that although hotels include breakfast it is sometimes not possible to have lunch or dinner. As you are travelling through new countries we realise you probably want to experience local cuisine, which is why your Tour Leader will organise or recommend a local restaurant/eatery in each location.
